Lola

Meet Lola. I am really happy how it came out. I didn't have much time to pain her. A bit over two week to paint, let it dry and frame it but I made it in time.
24x30cm oil on board painting. I will soon post images of the painting framed as well.

Welcome to Purely Pet Portraits Blog

Something I am working on at the moment! I am painting Rook, a sweet dog who passed away last year. It is a very interesting and challenging piece. A toy that Rook is holding in his mouth was his favorite and shows his playfulness. It's also an interesting element to paint adding color to the painting. In the back you can see a recently finished painting of Lola which I will share in the examples section as soon as I can dry it and scan it.

Pip

Hello, this is Pip. I really loved how his owner talked about him. She sent me his photos and said about one of them: "...he looks so "pip" in it". I can't stop thinking about it. I never met this dog but I'd really like to find out what it means to be Pip.
